The AIIA was one of the organisations that supported the Australian launch of the Global Peace Index: http://www.economicsandpeace.org/. The Global Peace Index is the first-ever analysis to rank countries on their peacefulness and identify potential determinants of peace. Its aim is to understand the factors that create and sustain peace. A panel made up of Professor Hugh White, Dr Hugh Craft and Dr Victoria Mason was moderated by Don Aitkin.
