Korea Policy Dialogue - Session 2 - Dr Leonid Petrov discusses the intricacies of the security situation on the Korean Peninsula

Dr Leonid Petrov, Visiting Fellow at the College of Asia and the Pacific at ANU, speaks on the difficulties of achieving peace on the Korean Peninsula during the second session of the Korea Policy Dialogue in Brisbane, Queensland on 29 December 2014. Dr Petrov focuses on the issues of denuclearisation, trust-building, ending the Korean War and prospects for peace in Northeast Asia. The discussion during the second session focused on Korea’s foreign policy initiatives, including the trust-building process on the Korean peninsula and the Northeast Asia Peace and Cooperation Initiative.

The event was hosted by the Australian Institute of International Affairs and the Korea Foundation, and held at the Queensland Office of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
