Oxfam Australia released a landmark report earlier this year claiming that Australia’s big four banks had supported companies accused of forcibly evicting impoverished communities across Asia and the Pacific. To speak about the power and efficacy of Oxfam and other social advocacy groups, in not only revealing but reversing unsustainable, risky or exploitative practices, AIIA has invited Dr Helen Szoke, CEO of Oxfam Australia, to address the Institute.
