The AIIA was saddened to hear news of the recent passing of Professor David Goldsworthy. David was chair of the AIIA Research Committee, and served as editor of Australian Outlook, as the Australian Journal of International Affairs was then known, from 1977–1982. He was an honorary professorial fellow in the School of Political and Social Inquiry at Monash University. David was also a noteworthy author, editing a two-volume series Facing North: A Century of Australian Engagement with Asia.
