The Fund for Peace

The Fund for Peace is an independent, nonpartisan, non-profit research and educational organisation that works in over 50 countries with a wide range of partners in all sectors in order to prevent violent conflict and promote sustainable security. The Fund for Peace has worked on a wide range of initiatives focused on Conflict Early Warning and Assessment, Transnational Threats and Sustainable Development & Security, including the development of the Conflict Assessment System Tool (CAST) and the world renowned Failed States Index published by the Foreign Policy magazine.

About the Program

The Fund for Peace is offering internships to Australian postgraduate students or other capable young professionals who want to gain experience in fragile states and conflict analysis. Interns will be working at The Fund for Peace’s Washington D.C office in the United States and will generally be assigned to one or more of the following programs:

• Conflict Early Warning and Assessment (including the Failed States Index and Country Profiles)
• Transnational Threats
• Sustainable Development, Sustainable Security
• Communications, fundraising and marketing
