The 2013 Sir James Plimsoll Lecture delivered by Peter Varghese AO on “The Challenges of Multilateralism” took place on 7 November 2013 at the University of Tasmania in Hobart.

The lecture presents senior international figures, diplomats, commentators and academic specialists in world affairs. It is hosted each year by the University of Tasmania, in partnership with DFAT and the Tasmania Branch of the Australian Institute for International Affairs.
