The Australian Institute of International Affairs is delighted to announce the launch of “Global Wire” as part of its commitment to provide a broader understanding of international affairs and Australia’s role in the world. The new site will provide analysis on issues including the Greek debt crisis, climate geopolitics in Africa and maritime boundary disputes in the East and South China Seas.

This new and expanded feature on the AIIA’s website is the result of the Institute’s partnerships with the leading think tanks from countries in each region of the world including Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, Poland, India, China, Japan, the Middle East and Indonesia.

Global Wire will add to the AIIA’s popular blog, Australian Outlook, which already attracts more than 24,000 unique visitors every month.

In January 2015 the AIIA was ranked the top think tank in South East Asia and the Pacific in the annual Global Go To Think Tanks Index compiled by the University of Pennsylvania’s Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program.
