Following the release of the Foreign Policy White Paper, the AIIA was delighted to host a diplomatic briefing at our national office.

Taking place on Wednesday 6 December, the briefing was led by AIIA National President Allan Gyngell and Professor John Blaxland from the ANU’s Strategic and Defence Studies Centre. Mr Gyngell and Professor Blaxland offered considerable insights into the White Paper, including both the things it got right and the omissions that it made.

On top of a dozen AIIA members, the AIIA was delighted to welcome over 40 members of the Canberra diplomatic corps to the event.  Their feedback was highly positive, and we look forward to welcoming them to more AIIA events in future.
