Appointment of Editor, Australian Journal of International Affairs - Calls for Expressions of Interest
The Research Committee of the Australian Institute of International Affairs is calling for expressions of interest from members of the academic community for the role of editor of the Australian Journal of International Affairs (AJIA).
The AJIA was established in 1946 as Australian Outlook and is the country’s leading scholarly journal in international relations and foreign policy. It currently has an impact factor of 0.859 and is ranked in the top 50 journals of international affairs worldwide. It is published six times a year by Routledge Taylor and Francis.
It publishes scholarly research on international political, social, economic and legal issues, especially within the Asia-Pacific region.
The AJIA is currently edited by Professor Nick Bisley, Executive Director of La Trobe Asia. Previous editors have included Andrew O’Neil (Professor, Head of the School of Government and International Relations, Griffith University), Michael Wesley (Professor of International Affairs and Dean of the College of Asia and the Pacific, Australian National University), and William T. Tow (Professor, Department of International Relations, School of International, Political & Strategic Studies).
