The AIIA’s Research Impact Award winner, Dr Haroro J. Ingram, has recently published a paper for the Australian Journal of Political Science. The paper is called An analysis of Islamic State’s Dabiq magazine.
In his paper, Dr Ingram provides a conceptual framework with which he argues that the Islamic State appeals to its audience by promoting a collective identity through dichotomy-reinforcing narratives expressed within Dabiq to engage and further radicalise followers of the Islamic State.
