The AIIA would like to thank outgoing Director of Communications Fleur Romano. Fleur has been a fantastic member of the AIIA team, contributing a remarkable amount to the AIIA through social outreach and her stewardship of the Australian Outlook.

We are pleased to welcome aboard new Director of Communications Annabel McGilvray.

Annabel joins the Australian Institute of International Affairs having managed major communications projects for the University of Sydney, the Australian Museum, the ABC and Local Government NSW.

She has been a journalist and editor at The Australian newspaper and before that worked in radio news in Northern NSW.

Since leaving The Australian, she has reported business and culture at The Moscow Times, covered the Moscow theatre siege for The Australian, edited at Dublin’s Sunday Business Times and has written extensively about science for ABC Science Online, Nature and others.
