Six individuals were recognised for their contribution to the country when they were accorded the Merdeka Award yesterday by the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Syah.

Prof Dr Anthony Crothers Milner, was awarded for his work in research and education in Malaysian history and his role in fostering international collaborations.
