Heath has substantial experience on Asian economic, trade and international relations, with a particular focus on Indonesia. He is a career officer in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, where he currently advises on Australian engagement with the World Bank, especially in the Pacific Region. Previously he led Australian initiatives to promote regional economic integration in the APEC forum of 21 Asia-Pacific economies. In Indonesia, Heath pursued market opportunities for Australian companies on behalf of the governments of Western Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory between 1992 – 2000. He has served on the AIIA ACT Branch Council since 2004.
