Tis’ that time of year once again, when the smell of gingerbread and the sounds of holiday frivolity melt the cynicism of even the most seasoned of foreign policy analysts. It is perhaps for that reason that a crucial geopolitical blindspot has developed.
The Hon Robert French AC, former chief justice of the High Court of Australia, spoke at the AIIA for WA’s Christmas party on 5 December 2017. The topic of his discussion? A law for Santa Claus as a person of concern to international relations.
