Dr Sean Burges

Dr Sean Burges is deputy director of the Australian National Centre for Latin American Studies at the Australian National University and a visiting professor at Carleton University, Canada. He is also a senior research fellow with the Washington DC-based Council on Hemispheric Affairs. Author of Brazilian Foreign Policy After the Cold War (Florida, 2009) and Brazil in the World: The International Relations of a South American Giant (Manchester, 2016), Burges is a frequent contributor to international and national media outlets and has also published over 30 scholarly articles and chapters on Brazilian foreign policy and inter-American affairs.
