Professor Shirley Scott

Professor Shirley Scott is the Research Chair of the Australian Institute of International Affairs. She has published in leading journals of both International Law and International Relations on the place of international law in world politics and is the author of International Law, US Power: The United States’ Quest for Legal Security and of leading textbook in the field International Law in World Politics: an Introduction. Shirley is co-editor with Dr Alan Bloomfield of Norm Antipreneurs: The Politics of Resistance to Global Normative Change, to be published by Routledge later this year. She is also currently working on a project on the United Nations Security Council and climate change.
