Laura Gamboa is an Assistant Professor of Comparative Politics at Utah State University. Her research focuses on regime and regime change, institutions, political parties, and political behavior. She is currently working on a book manuscript that examines opposition strategies against democratically elected presidents in Latin America, who try to erode democracy.
