Rubén Pérez-Hidalgo holds a PhD in Hispanic Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago. His research focuses on the representation of popular subjects from a comparative as well as a transatlantic angle. He’s also interested in working-class culture of the early 20^th century in Mexico and Spain, about which he has published several articles. He’s specially interested in analysing how radical politics shape and form discourses, and how those are received by wider audiences.
