Alexander Balas is a former investment manager at Invest Australia who has worked in various other roles across Australian government. He has travelled extensively through Asia and Europe, completed an MA in strategic and security studies at UNSW with a thesis focused on statebuilding and peacekeeping, is working towards a postgraduate degree in International Law at the ANU, and has been undertaking study in Geneva. Alexander has also been involved in the Canberra operations of the Australia Japan Society, Asialink and the Australia India Business Council.
