John R Goodlad is an experienced Investment Advisor at Hartleys who specialises in assisting Australian and International clients manage their wealth. His focus is on the establishment and ongoing management of long term, quality growth portfolios. John provides a full range of Australian-based services – including advice on shares, fixed interest, financial planning and superannuation. John is a former Australian diplomat with a wide experience of expatriate life.

Prior to joining Hartleys, John spent 16 years as a policy officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (including postings to Bangkok and Jakarta). He speaks Thai, Indonesian and some Mandarin.

John has degrees in Arts and Law from the University of Melbourne. John also has a Master of International Law qualification from the Australian National University where he specialised in International Economics, International Banking and Finance Law and International Securities Law.
