The AIIA was represented at the 5th Malaysian Institute of Maritime Affairs (MIMA) Second Track Conference on the South China Sea in Kuala Lumpur 29-30 August 2016.
The conference was held in the wake of the release of the Arbitral Tribunal Awards on the Philippines case against China. Papers were presented by representatives from Malaysia, Singapore, China, The Philippines, the US, Japan, Vietnam, the EU, and Australia. Australia was represented by Bob Lowry, President of the ACT Branch.
