Former Peter Nygh intern Brooke Adele Marshall receives Hague Academy Diploma of Private International Law
The Hague Academy Diploma of Private International Law is highly regarded amongst the international law community and Brooke is one of only 9 Australians receiving the Diploma. Past recipients include former High Court judge the Hon. Sir William Deane AC, international lawyer Henry Burmester AO QC and Damian Sturzaker, immediate past president of the International Law Association (Australian Branch). The diploma ceremony was held on 19 August 2016 and Brooke was the only person to be awarded the Hague Academy Diploma of Private International Law in 2016.
Since her time as a Peter Nygh intern at the Hague Conference in 2013, Brooke has dedicated her professional career to international law. She is currently undertaking a PhD in Private International Law at the University of Hamburg whilst working as a senior research fellow in Comparative and International Private Law at the Max Planck Institute, Germany’s most successful research organization.
We congratulate Brooke on this exceptional achievement.
