Dr Tim Aistrope
Tim Aistrope is Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Australian Centre for Cyber Security and the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. He completed his doctoral research at the University of Queensland and lectured there on Terrorism and Insurgency, Global Security, and International Relations Theory.
His research focuses on post-truth politics, asymmetric warfare, cyber security, and the implications of new media technologies for war and peace. These themes are drawn together in a recent book, Conspiracy Theory and American Foreign Policy, published in 2016 by Manchester University Press. His postdoctoral project builds on this research trajectory by exploring the intersection of cyber security, post-truth politics, and political warfare.
